As a Freelance Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-demand support to our data centers. This includes hardware installation, troubleshooting, and network management. You must have extensive experience with data center equipment and software. Your role will involve collaborating with remote teams and ensuring that all data center operations run smoothly and securely.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and other hardware,** ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
**Monitor data center operations** remotely and on-site, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly.
**Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking devices,** including Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure secure and efficient network operations.
**Manage and troubleshoot Linux and Windows-based systems,** performing system updates, patches, and security enhancements as needed.
**Document** all installations, repairs, maintenance tasks, and system performance, providing detailed reports to the remote management team.
**Implement and maintain security protocols **to protect data center infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
**Collaborate with remote IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders** to support data center operations and assist in planning and executing data center projects.
