Do you want to work with hapori (communities), hapū and iwi and support them to meet their aspirations for recovery from the devastation of Cyclone Gabrielle? We are looking for someone with a passion for working with communities to work closely with impacted hapori, hapū and iwi and advise the Cyclone Gabrielle Appeal Trustees on the distribution of public donations.
The Cyclone Gabrielle Appeal Trust is an independent charitable Trust, with the Secretariat managed within the Hāpai Hapori Community Operations business group in Te Tari Taiwheuna Department of Internal Affairs. Hāpai Hapori has a network of Community Advisors across Aotearoa. You'll join a dedicated and supportive team in Hawke's Bay who work together to ensure seamless support and funding to hapori, hapū and iwi.
Experience in hapori, hapū and iwi-led development and te reo Māori me ngā tikanga would be beneficial in this role. You will also need a valid drivers license, as an ability to do lots of travelling around the region is required.
