**Job Description**:
IVE is part of the Industrial Services division of the SGS Group and are market leaders in the field of servicing, procuring and installing complex valve networks, employing over 60 staff with branches in New Plymouth, Hamilton, Tokoroa, Christchurch and Invercargill

The role will involve:

- Carry out duties of repairing and testing valves in accordance of SGS IVE Procedures.
- Adhere to all safe working practices, look after yourself and those around you.
- Document all work done on the appropriate worksheets and complete a timesheet on a daily basis.
- Actively seek opportunities to expand your valve knowledge base.
- Take an active part in any training opportunities and provide training to staff as reasonably.
- Utilise resources efficiently and maintain a high level of house-keeping.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and make appropriate recommendations for improvement to our operational and quality systems.
- Continuously seek the most efficient way to carry out job responsibilities.

**Qualifications**:
**In addition to the above you will also need to demonstrate the following**:

- Apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline, or suitable relevant experience within the specific field of valve overhaul / repair / certification
- Suitable to make professional judgements on the range of technical / safety related problems likely to arise from the scope of activities.
- Minimum of 2 years experience within a relevant engineering discipline of which 1 year shall have been spent working within an engineering discipline associated within Valve certification
