We have an exciting opportunity for a **Senior Associate Design Manager **to join our fun loving, sociable Roads and Highways team. We support local projects in Auckland and large national projects in the road and rail sectors. We have an impressive pipeline of work and are delivering the most sought-after projects in New Zealand. As a result, we are growing ostensibly and regularly collaborate with our global peers for both learning and project work. In this role you will be responsible for providing consultancy and engineering services in the Civil market in New Zealand. The role will be responsible for project technical delivery, supporting design management and project management, supporting positioning and winning projects involving a range of services. The role will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management, engineering, and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects. The position will support management of the Roads and Highway team, in terms of technical development and growth, building design capability and supporting the growing interface with our global delivery centres. You will also lead and deliver technically excellent designs and consultancy services whilst driving business development and be responsible for work winning, identify the next opportunities and support the win of opportunities. Additionally, you will manage projects in both PM and DE roles delivering projects on cost, on time, and resulting in client satisfaction whilst supporting and providing design management functions on projects. Here at Jacobs we also support a plethora of flexible working practices such as flexible start/end times, job share arrangements, working from home, hybrid working and part-time arrangements. #LI-CK1 #APMETransport #ANZTransport #ANZroadsandhighways **Here’s What You’ll Need**: - Relevant engineering qualification (Ideally CPENG) - Extensive knowledge and breadth of experience in preparing Civil Design and deliverables for transport infrastructure projects including road and rail projects - Extensive understanding of Civil design principles, methods and technical standards - Undertaken design management or package leadership roles on large size projects - Strong understanding knowledge of the local environment and industry, Strong negotiation skills with respect to technical matters - Strong experience working with clients to solve their project issues and growing relationships for future projects **Jacobs.
