**Specific Requirements**:
The Technician (Systems) will be responsible for residential and small commercial scale energy management systems. They will assist in the design of solar-based power management systems and test/data collection equipment to evaluate the performance of these systems. They will select and procure test equipment, assemble test systems and carry out single phase and three phase works required to run these systems.

The Technician (Systems) will collect requirements from engineers and assist engineers with system testing. They will interact with Purchasing and other departments to procure equipment and ensure it can be set up and operated correctly.

**Experience, Education & Skills**
- Able to perform prescribed electrical work in compliance with the NZ Electricity act and AS/NZS standards
- Experience in trouble shooting & testing of Electrical Products and systems.
- Experience with electrical and electronic test and measurement using multimeters, power quality analysers, portable appliance testers etc
- Expertise in soldering and de soldering on various electronic components
- Managing Electrical work, subcontractors, electrical inspectors.
- Manage capital equipment in lab and taking ownership for its inventory and annual calibrations.
- Selection and procurement of equipment
- Able keep the lab environment clean and take ownership for keeping all lab equipment in an organized manner.
- Should be able to assemble and disassemble power electronics products or another electrical equipment.
- Experience fabricating cable harnesses for power electronics products test racks or any other electrical systems.
- Experience with mechanical tools for fabrication of device housings, gearplates and general mechanical assembly

**Skills in the following areas will be an advantage**:

- Experience with installation of solar or other renewable energy systems
- Experience with fixed energy storage systems
- Basic Understanding of Electronics circuits (schematics and PCB’s)
- IPC process certified in acceptability of electronic assemblies and/or wiring harnesses
- Experience with industrial automation, PLCs, variable speed drives etc

**Qualification and Previous Experience**:

- Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and 5+ years’ experience
- EWRB registered electrical worker

Enphase Energy New Zealand is located in Wigram, Christchurch. We are a Research and Development Centre focused on the design and testing of our cornerstone product, the Microinverter. Enphase New Zealand has a team of around 80 plus engineers and support staff.
