Human Resources/ Pūmanawa Tangata sits within Organisational Capability and Services, a branch dedicated to supporting the rest of the Department to succeed by providing corporate services that help business groups and people within DIA to make the best contribution to New Zealand.
We're seeking a talented and experienced HR Leader to join our leadership team. In your role, you'll lead a team of HR advisory kaimahi to deliver a range of integrated HR advisory services including generalist advice on HR policies and frameworks, recruitment, remuneration, employment relations and wellbeing matters and supporting HR Business Partners in the implementation of change and organisational development initiatives.
As a member of the HR Leadership team, you'll contribute to the development of our strategic direction, maintain oversight of key risk areas and champion customer-centered service delivery, taking a whole of HR view and providing leadership to the wider group.

**To be successful you will have**:

- proven experience leading a HR Advisory team, along with demonstrated ability to build capability in a team, ideally in the delivery of HR services.
- experience coaching and developing others to achieve results.
- wide experience and knowledge of HR principles, employment legislation and industry best practices.
- excellent communications/interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships.
