**Support with Daily Living**: Assist individuals with personal care, hygiene routines, dressing, toileting, and meals in a way that promotes dignity and independence.
- **Emotional and Behavioural Support**: Use a trauma-informed approach when working with children or youth who may have complex behavioural or emotional needs. Provide a calm, safe, and responsive presence.
- **Learning and Development**: Support youth and children in learning life skills, communication, social interaction, and building routines, both at home and in educational settings.
- **Family Support**: Collaborate with families, whānau, and other professionals (e.g., social workers, teachers, therapists) to deliver consistent, person-centred care.
- **Community Engagement**: Assist clients to access educational activities, social programmes, sports, outings, and appointments safely and confidently.
- **Transport and Mobility**: Drive clients to appointments, school, programmes, and recreational activities using your own vehicle.
- **Household Support**: Perform light housework, cooking, and shopping tasks as required to support the client’s daily living environment.
- **Documentation**: Maintain clear records and incident reporting to ensure transparency, safety, and quality of care.
- **Advocacy**: Actively support and advocate for the rights, interests, and wellbeing of children and youth in your care.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Full, clean **New Zealand driver’s licence** and access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle.
- Willingness to undergo and pass a **Police Vetting Check** under the **Children’s Act 2014** and other applicable regulations.
- Legal right to work in New Zealand (citizen, resident, or valid work visa).
- Respectful, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitude towards all individuals, regardless of age or background.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviours in a professional and supportive way.
- Flexible to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and school holidays.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
