**The Opportunity**

Based in our Auckland Head Office (Mt Wellington) the role of a **Senior Assessor** is to provide Phytosanitary Certificate verification services.

In this role you will verify export certificate requests from plant and plant product exporters and all their supporting documentation on behalf of the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI).

These export certificates issued by MPI provide assurances to importing countries that the plants and plant products exported from Aotearoa are free from harmful pests and disease.

Working Tuesday to Saturday, this role is predominantly office based, however there may be opportunity to be involved with inspection work in the future. AsureQuality operate a flexible work policy and provide opportunities to work from home, in line with personal and business requirements.

**About You**:
You will bring with you experience within primary industries, in particular horticulture and ideally you have accreditation or certification industry expertise. Exposure to documentation verification is preferred, but this is not essential as full training will be provided.

You will have an eye for detail and work with a high level of accuracy. Great time management, well-developed computer skills and excellent verbal & written communication are also key for this role.

**Ideally you will have**:

- A tertiary qualification in a Horticulture or Forestry related discipline is highly desirable
- Industry knowledge and previous experience of forestry, agriculture, orchards, packhouses or produce growing is highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail
- Capability with technology, specifically tablets and laptops
- A strong health and safety focus
- A full, clean New Zealand drivers' licence

You will be joining a supportive and dedicated team of specialists who provide key services to producers, processors, and exporters within the Primary Industries.
