Join our REAL youth team, delivering well-being support to youth at school and making a difference in the lives of taiohi.

**The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi**We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Worker, who is passionate about youth, and committed to supporting young people to reach their true potential. You will be delivering our CBT-based ‘Real talk’ group programme, as well offering individualised support where appropriate.

You will be working 16 hours a week, Monday to Friday, based in Masterton - with the opportunity to negotiate how these hours are configured so that it works for the service AND for you

**The Team**You will be reporting to a Team Coach, working along-side other Registered health Professionals and Youth Workers. This is a small but dynamic team, where we work together to get the job done. Support is provided in schools, in the community, and from our office base.

**You | Mōu**It is essential that you will have previous experience working with youth, and you may even have experience working within AOD. You will definitely have an understanding of trauma-informed care.

This role will involve supporting young people with primary mental health issues and complex social needs. We would expect the successful applicant to have knowledge of and relationships with local NGO and Iwi providers and advanced skills in working collaboratively with other providers to address complex needs.

**You will have**:

- A current full New Zealand driver’s license
- A current first aid certificate, or be willing to get one
- The New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent or be prepared to study towards this qualification or a recognised equivalent.
- Have experience working with young people

**You will be**:

- Passionate about supporting young people to build confidence, resilience and wellbeing
- A fresh thinker, using curiosity and imagination to generate new ideas
- Inspiring others with enthusiasm and a take action approach
