We are seeking an enthusiastic clinician to join our team and provide specialist services to the MidCentral population.
- The team currently comprises three Endocrinologists/Diabetologists with a General Medicine component. You would be the fourth member of this team based at
- **Palmerston North Hospital**.

The team is supported by two Nurse Practitioners, a team of Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Diabetes Specialist Dietitians. The service provides specialist outpatient and inpatient services, and primary health care support.
- Applicants must be eligible for vocational registration in Internal Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand with specialist training / qualification in Endocrinology/Diabetology, as well as having demonstrated clinical, management, and teaching skills and the ability to work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team.

Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 186,000. In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.
Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures. Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
