**The Opportunity**

Working as part of a sociable and tight-knit team, you’ll provide excellent front-line customer service by being the friendly, efficient and knowledgeable face of Council. This involves informing customers of Council services, assisting with enquiries, and receiving and processing payments, ensuring that whenever possible, customers’ needs are met.

To ensure you’re set up for success from the start, you’ll work full-time hours for your first 2 weeks (8am - 5pm Monday to Friday). This time will be dedicated to training and induction. Your core hours will then be 20 hours per week (Monday - Friday 10.15am - 2.15pm) plus relief hours when needed. Our busiest time of year is June to September so we'll need you to work full-time over this period each year.

**Your Experience**

You will bring experience in customer service and cash handling from other corporate work environments and be regarded as someone who consistently exceeds customer expectations. Maintaining personal resilience when under pressure, being empathetic, using active listening techniques and knowing how to ask the right questions so that we can resolve customer issues effectively, will make you stand out from the crowd.
