An outstanding opportunity now exists to join the team in Whanganui working as the Alliance Manager within the Whanganui Road Maintenance Alliance. The Alliance Manager will provide leadership to the wider team and as a member of the Alliance Management Team to ensure the deliverables are being achieved (target results) and make the best use of available financial, human and physical resources to provide a customer focused, responsive service delivery team.

To be successful in this role you will be passionate about the Road Maintenance and Local Authority industry, be actively seeking continuous improvement, and be an inspirational leader. You will also have:

- Proven successful Contract/Business Management experience in road maintenance and/or related industry
- A strong track record of positive leadership behaviours that empower others
- Proven track record in developing a culture that supports Health and Safety management, encouraging and rewarding excellence
- The ability to create and deliver a strong customer focused environment, and a collaborative approach to develop client relationships
- An understanding of strategic asset management and local authority activities
- An understanding of the economic, political and social challenges facing the Whanganui District Council
- Experience within an Alliance model or start up business model an advantage, but not essential.
