An opportunity to work in NICU at Waikato Hospital in New Zealand has arisen to cover one of our current SMO’s on sabbatical leave for a period of 3 months.

We are seeking a Neonatologist to join our dedicated team who are committed to providing excellent service to the tamariki/children in the Waikato. The position includes participation in the on-call roster.

As a service, our highest priorities include commitment to equity-based service delivery, excellence of neonatal care, optimal team-based working and teaching and training of junior doctors.

**About you**

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

- Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Vocational registration in a medical speciality
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand with scope of practice
- A practising certificate with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
