Production Manager Otahuhu

We are looking for a **Production Manager** to lead and develop performance excellence across Ōtāhuhu's operations.

**About the role**

Managing up a group of 4 Supervisors, the Production Manager leads and develops performance excellence across Ōtāhuhu’s operations (Production). This role will report to the Manufacturing Manager, and work alongside the Maintenance Manager at our bakery in Ōtāhuhu. Key responsibilities for this role include:

- design and implement the site’s continuous improvement program with guidance from Business Improvement Manager, to unlock ongoing incremental gains in service levels, food safety, quality and plant overall equipment effectiveness;
- maintain optimised and efficient production planning processes to support CI focus and daily management of operations;
- develop the site’s Frontline leadership capabilities through effective people management;
- develop, oversee and implement the site’s capital projects plan;
- ensure new product development are executed on site, ensuring continual improvement in product quality and GMP standards.

Key Skills & Experience:

- Experience in leading teams and managing others effectively within a manufacturing/ FMCG environment
- Process control experience within a manufacturing environment
- Thorough knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP and Continuous Improvement principles
- Able to mobilise people through effective communication, participation and encouragement of team work
- Self-motivated and sets high standards of performance for oneself and their team
- Internal and external customer orientation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
