Bakery Assistant

At New World Kawerau, our bakery team is dynamic - fast moving and looking to grow to be even better than it already is We bake from scratch, make our own slices and cakes and our date scones are legendary In about 4 weeks, the refurbishment of our bakery department will be completed and then we will be able to offer even more yummy goodies to our customers.

So, we have a full-time position available in our Bakery team for a new Bakery Assistant.
- You will need to be passionate about food and baking
- If you have previous experience in cafe/supermarket fresh department/baking that's great, but if you don't then that is okay - you just need to want to learn
- A strong desire to succeed and to be part of a great team

We will also need you to be fun Willing to give anything ago Able to work under pressure (think Christmas, Easter etc) and be flexible. And you need to be able to legally work in New Zealand.

At least one weekend day will be required and as with all bakery departments, the start times are early (4am early) but you will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate, which will be even more competitive if you are a qualified baker. You will also potentially be eligible for staff purchasing discounts (conditions apply).
