**Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi - About the Role**
We're looking for a registered nurse to join our teaching team. In this role, you'll help educate nursing students through classroom teaching, simulation labs, and clinical placements. Most of your work will be with students in the Bachelor of Nursing programme, but there may be chances to teach in other health-related courses too—depending on your experience.
You'll be part of a supportive team of experienced nurse educators. This role suits someone passionate about nursing and education, whether you're an experienced teacher or a nurse looking to move into teaching. There may also be opportunities to get involved in research.
**Ngā Pūkenga Me Ngā Wheako - Skills/Experience**
- Registered Nurse with current NZ Practicing Certificate
- A postgraduate qualification, preferably a master's degree in Nursing or related discipline (or an approved plan to complete within 4 years)
- Current industry/discipline knowledge in general nursing such as acute medical
- surgical, rehabilitation, primary health care, older persons health.
- A minimum of three years full time clinical experience as a registered nurse.
- Clinical and educational qualifications and skills that support teaching of nursing.
- A broad range of clinical practice and skills.
- Vision, innovation and a commitment to facilitating own and others' learning.
- Capable of supporting students to achieve their learning outcomes.
- The ability to develop and implement flexible teaching and learning methods, including the use of learning technologies
- Time management skills, including the ability to effectively and efficiently administer, organise and co-ordinate activities and meet deadlines.
- Engagement with assessment and feedback processes.
- Friendly and approachable manner
- Passionate about nursing and the opportunities to improve practice or give back to nursing through education.
