We have a **casual vacancy for an Out of School Care Assistant**and the rostered hours may be between 7.30 to 8.30am for before school care services, 2.30 to 5.30pm for after school care services and 7.30am to 5.30pm (school holidays) for holiday programme services. The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- Experience working with children
- Ability to cope with pressure and think on your feet
- Is positive and has the ability to work constructively as part of a team
- Ability to use initiative and build relationships with families
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to actively engage children in activities and play
- Has a genuine passion, commitment and energy for a child centred role
- Ability to work flexibly in accordance to the needs of the role
- A commitment to the welfare of the child as a priority in the work and decision making
- Good personal presentation and reliable transport
- Strict adherence to health and safety standards and procedures
- A current full driver’s licence
- Current first aid certificate or the ability to obtain one
