**About the opportunity**:
Our client is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join their Plate Processing department on the Evening Shift. This is a great opportunity to work with a friendly company supplying structural steel to the construction industry. You will operate a newly commissioned Kinetic CNC Plasma machine and be part of a talented team dedicated to providing the best steel solutions.

**Role description**:
The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for safely operating the Kinetic CNC Plasma machine during the Evening Shift. This physically demanding role requires self-discipline, good time management, and attention to quality to achieve set targets for the shift. Full training will be provided for the equipment, making it an excellent opportunity for someone with previous CNC machinery experience to further expand their skills.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Safely operate overhead cranes for loading and unloading plates and cut items.
- Set up and operate a CNC Plasma Machine, including CNC Drilling, machining.
- Ensure quality control of the completed items.
- Perform daily checks and cleaning of equipment.
- Complete worksheets and time sheets, and label cut parts and steel stocks correctly.

**This role will suit someone with all or some following background/experience/qualities**:

- Previous experience on CNC machinery, with a good understanding of CNC operation.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new skills and equipment.
- Ideally hold a current Forklift licence
- Gantry Crane Unit Standard 3800
- Strong organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
