**Position Summary**:
Here at Thermo Fisher Scientific we are a small team who separate and purify proteins for global clients, producing high value product in demand globally. This is done in a large, purpose built, modern production environment in the biotech industry.

This is an active, on your feet, production-based role, requiring good attention to detail and a can-do outlook. Initial duties mainly involve operation of different separation and purification equipment while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and Batch Manufacturing Records, following cGMP principles (current Good Manufacturing Practices).

You will positively contribute to a great and friendly team, being able to communicate effectively whether working within a group or completing tasks alone.

The role is Monday to Friday, 6.00am - 2.30pm

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To be trained in multiple protein separation processes, taking full responsibility of the task when confident, working alone or working as a team to get all manufacturing tasks done.
- Record manufacturing processes in real time and accurately, in batch manufacturing records and following SOP standards.
- Ensure production plant hygiene and housekeeping is always maintained.
- Update SOP’s, batch sheets and Hazard ID’s as required.

**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications**:
**_ Qualifications & Experience_**
- Academic qualifications -Minimum NCEA Level Two, or Sixth Form Certificate, a Tertiary qualification, preferably in science is a bonus. This is not critical as training will be provided.
- Experience working in a production manufacturing environment or laboratory environment would be an advantage but is not essential as we train and provide the opportunity to gain the required skills. We also offer further online training within the business.

- Be physically active and able to lift 20Kg to chest height.
