Spotless (a Downer Company) has the contract with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) for Facilities Maintenance and Management at four main bases: Linton Military Camp, RNZAF Base Ohakea, Burnham Military Camp and Waiouru Military Training Area, the National Army Museum, and several satellite sites where we deliver a suite of services to support Defence capability. Our Linton Military Camp is on the hunt for a Mechanical Technician.

**These tasks would include**:

- Responsible for all mechanical, regular maintenance & general engineering / repairs/ Fabrication of all mechanical infrastructure on the camp.
- Running & maintenance of the gas fired heating boilers and associated pipe work.
- Maintenance of multiple general heating boilers (condensing).
- Maintenance of pumps.
- Maintenance & repair of domestic hot water calorifiers & all associated circulation pumps.
- Problem solving & installation of new equipment on camp.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**
- Demonstrated experience in relevant trade area required.
- Experience in responding to and satisfying customer requests.
- Experience using hand or power equipment.

**Qualifications**
- Trade certification or licence in relevant field.
- Valid, unrestricted drivers licence.
- Current first aid certificate.
- Site Safe maintenance passport.
