We have a vacancy for a Retail Assistant Manager in Toyworld Napier.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team

What we are looking for

Retail Assistant Manager may do some or all of the following:
Store opening and closing
Greet customers and help them choose products
Advise customers on how to use and care for products
Assist with customer purchases, price inquiries, and special orders
Carry out stock takes and order new stock
Check delivered stock against orders and ensure it is in good condition
Price and display stock
Handle customer complaints
Keep the retail space tidy and clean.
Ensure efficient and profitable day-to-day running of the store
Manage retail stock auditing on a periodic basis to ensure adequate stock
Control stocks through ordering, stock control, and waste management
Negotiate and place orders for the stock from suppliers and vendors
Check all inwards goods and present weekly audit reports to the Director
Setting and adjusting the selling prices of all retail products
Organizing local promotions and specials at different times of the year
Make a consistent effort to promote and advertise the business
Be available to customers to communicate and address their concerns, or complaints
Deal with all customer complaints and maintain excellent service standard
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales transaction reports
Reconcile all cash/EFTPOS transactions and banking daily

Job Requirements
- Retail Management experience
Alternatively have a Diploma or Degree in business or management
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Strong commercial awareness and a proven track record of delivering results
Exceptional communication skills
This position requires flexibility to work weekdays, and weekends as well as extra hours or days when necessary.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour
