No experience necessary -Full training provided**The role**We have an opening for a full-time baker position.If you have a positive attitude and keen to learn, you may be interested in joining our small and friendly team.New Zealand’s largest cake and dessert retailer The Cheesecake Shop is made up of business owners all passionate about making cakes and serving the freshly baked cakes and desserts to our customers. Due to a significant period of growth, we are looking for a baker to join our team.We are passionate and pride ourselves on our freshly baked in store cakes and delicious desserts and are absolutely focussed on quality. If you are keen to share in our belief, then contact us.Duties and Responsibilities:
Bake cakes and desserts as necessary as per the provided production sheets; assists in production planning to meet daily requirements.
Ensures proper food preparation by utilising approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment.
Assists with the completion of production records to include stock/waste tracking and product shortages.
Ensures proper presentation and food quality.
Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within workarea.
Handles food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparationand service.
Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other tasks.
Interacts with customers when other team members are busy and refers customer queriesto the supervisor.
Consistently shows the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly,accurately and efficiently.
Checks to ensure that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards.
Follows the principles of health and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuringcompany and OSH standards are followed.
Completes scheduled work, as assigned, in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with our standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.50 - $28.90 per hour
