**About the role**
As Analyst - Assessment & Moderation, you will be responsible to collect and analyse moderation data to identify trends, patterns and areas for improvement at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
**Responsibilities include (but not limited to)**:
- Collect and analyse moderation data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Provide programme-level insights on moderation outcomes, including trends and recommendations to stakeholders for improving assessment practices and enhancing student learning experiences
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in assessment and moderation methodologies
- Contribute to the development and implementation of assessment and moderation policies, procedures, and standards
- Collaborate with faculty, assessment committees, and curriculum development teams to support continuous improvement efforts in assessment design, implementation, and evaluation
- Establish and maintain meaningful strategic and operational relationships with the Assessment & Moderation team, Ako kaimahi and the wider Quality Wāhanga.
**About you**
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Education or related field
or,
- 5+ years’ experience in working in Analytics, Education, Quality, Quality Assurance, Compliance, Risk in an educational setting
- 2+ years’ minimum experience with a range of IT range of IT tools that support learning, teaching, reporting and data management
- 4+ years’ experience gathering, analysis and documentation
- 4+ years’ experience reporting and record management
**Technical Skills:
- Expertise in analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of assessment and moderation practices
- Advanced excel data skills
- Sound project management skills
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Experience using and implementing quality improvement tools
- Intermediate report writing skills
- Strong relationship building and maintenance
- Understand the context we work in Matauranga Māori
- Understanding of tertiary education sector, including NZQA, TEC and MOE education regulations and guidelines
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
