Te tūnga | The role
We have a full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team and deliver effective and efficient operational site and facilities management for our two sites (Kenepuru Science Centre and Wallaceville Science Centre) in the Wellington region.
In this role, you will lead a team of three, championing health and safety, whilst maintaining positive working relationships with our contractors, customers, and staff. You will be also involved in a range of activities which will include maintenance, building compliance, process improvements, contract management and project management.

- An experienced people leader with a consultative leadership style, providing direction for the team.
- Experience in facilities management, ideally multi-sites, or new builds.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express thoughts and ideas with clarity, confidence, and persuasion to a range of different stakeholders.
- The ability to work across multiple priorities, managing deliverables, timeframes and resolves conflicts effectively to ensure results.
Please note that you will be required to participate on an on call roster for our two sites.
