As a Payroll Officer you will be responsible for making sure the Wētā FX team is paid accurately and on time, every time.

Working in a fast-paced environment, we need someone with great interpersonal skills and attention to detail who can balance multiple priorities while maintaining high quality performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Co-ordinate, monitor and review the flow of all payroll information to international outsourced providers to meet all weekly payment schedules
- Review and check payroll results prior to approval
- Identify and manage exceptions or one-off payroll transactions, alongside external parties
- Work with payroll providers and internal HR crew to ensure automated employee data is maintained and managed across all relevant systems
- Ensure all new joiners are welcomed and set up accurately in financial and payroll systems
- Support delivery of effective controls over vendor, contractor and employee payments

**Skills, Knowledge & Experience**:
The skills, knowledge and experience required for this role:

- 3-5 years’ experience working in an outsourced payroll environment
- 3-5 years’ experience working across multiple payroll systems, ideally ADP and Datacom
- Ideally, exposure to payroll in Canada, the US or Australia as well as NZ
- Analytical, organised and accurate, with an eye for detail
- Honest, reliable and able to keep information private
- Able to work well under pressure and prioritise deadlines
- Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
