The Indian Café, a restaurant famous for its quality cuisine, warm ambience and friendly service. It was started in 2002 and have been consistently serving superb Indian cuisine.

We are looking for a Cook to join our team of experts who can prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and company standards. The cook’s responsibilities include following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders, organizing workstations, and assisting other cooks as needed.

**Responsibilities**
- Preparing ingredients following recipes and guidelines.
- Steaming vegetables and other basic cooking responsibilities.
- Steaming, grilling, broiling, baking, or frying meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Checking food and ingredients for freshness.
- Arranging and garnishing dishes.
- Working well under pressure and within the time limit.
- Ensuring ingredients are tagged, date-labelled, covered, stored, and rotated effectively.
- Overseeing food levels and restocking items on time.
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
- Check quality of ingredients
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.

**Requirements and skills**
- Excellent understanding of food preparation fundamentals.
- Ability to follow recipes.
- Proficient knife handling skills.
- Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes.
- Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work shifts, on public holidays, and over weekends.
