**About the Role**

We have an opportunity for a mid-career Occupational Therapist to join our team working through our acute wards/services in the Western Bay of Plenty.

The areas of work include:

- Emergency Department
- Admission Planning Unit
- Medical Wards X3

This is a full-time role Monday-Friday; however flexible hours/days of the week up to full-time will be discussed for the appropriate applicant to enable us to shape a service based on the skills we need to deliver healthcare at the right place and right time.

You will work alongside other Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Clinical Leads and Team Leads to ensure excellent service delivery, development of this service and the staff working in these specific areas whilst having the opportunity to grow your toolkit of transdisciplinary knowledge as you journey in your career.

We serve a population of approximately 308,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4500 staff.

- Exemplary interpersonal skills
- Experience in a hospital setting working on acute wards
- A current Annual Practising Certificate
- Passion and drive to make a difference through your work and have a strong cultural and bicultural awareness
- A willingness to work alongside other Allied Health clinicians and leaders to help shape this medical service
