An exciting opportunity now exists to join our Product Planning team as a Project/Product Planner at our Head Office in Palmerston North. Due to an internal transfer this rare gem of a role does not become available often

Reporting directly to the Associate Manager - Product Planning, you will be responsible for the planning of assigned selected Toyota and Lexus products entering the New Zealand market. As part of a close-knit team you will have direct input into market research, product strategy, vehicle specification and line-up. You will work strategically to establish and optimise Toyota New Zealand’s Toyota and Lexus vehicle line-ups by recommending vehicle specifications and strategies for new, facelift and updated models. No two days will be the same in this role so if you enjoy variety then this is a great role for you

Some of your responsibilities will include:
Identifying new opportunities within the new vehicle market and working towards achieving incremental growth for Toyota New Zealand by matching these opportunities with available product

Preparing and presenting detailed product proposals

Keeping up to date with current and proposed legislation to ensure product offerings align with NZ regulations and targets

Reviewing the clarity and accuracy of product related content in marketing materials, providing input to marketing briefings

Supporting New Vehicle launches, and developing presentation materials

Reviewing marketing material to ensure product specifications and details are correct prior to release/publication

Strong administrative skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines (multitasking is important)

The ability to work with and interpret data

Confidence in writing business papers

The ability to formulate recommendations and be able to present these at a high level

A proactive, can-do, team-focused attitude

Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

A passion for vehicles and mobility as a whole
