We are looking for 1x South Indian Chef and 1 x Curry and Tandoor Chef to be a part of our
team. It will be a full-time permanent position. This position requires working on
weekends.
You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours/week and a maximum of 48 hours/week.
We are looking for someone who is-- Reliable and hardworking.
- Passionate about food.
- Team player who is confident and honest.
- Has excellent personal presentation and punctuality.
- Good knowledge of spices, seasonings and garnish is preferred.
Qualification/Work Experience
To be successful you will need to have 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience.
As South Indian Chef you will control the south Indian section of the kitchen
- Plan the menu and refresh it periodically.
Preparing and cooking authentic South Indian foods and curries as per
client requirements.
Work with South Indian spices, seasoning, and garnishing, controlling, and
adjusting the temperature of cooking equipment.
Calculate labour and food costs to ensure viability.
Keep a track of stock and order stock when required.
Refrigeration and storing of the raw and cooked food items at the correct
temp.
Ensuring the quality of the food remains constant.
Prepare bulk and party orders.
Maintain and follow all the health and safety standards as per the
government regulations.
Interviewing and training staff, if required.
As Curry and Tandoor Chef you will control the Indian section of the kitchen
- Plan the menu and refresh it periodically.
Preparing and cooking authentic North Indian starters and curries as per
client requirements.
Operate the tandoor.
Work with spices, seasoning, and garnishing, controlling, and adjusting
the temperature of cooking equipment.
