Provide exceptional experience to IAG's banking customers, guiding them through the Motor insurance claims process.

**What you’ll be doing**:
As a Claims Consultant your purpose is being there for your community and putting things right for our customers, during life's everyday wobbles (crashed car, broken windscreen etc) or when disaster strikes (flood, tornado etc).
You will be responsible for case managing claims from when the event occurs right through to completion through a range of communication channels, looking to settle claims as quickly and easily as possible.
No matter the call, being compassionate, displaying empathy, and being able to clearly explain and handle the claims processes with help put your customer at ease. Other typical duties will include:
- Lodge and proactively manage claims on behalf of IAG customers.
- Liaising with repairers and maintaining our long-term Internal and external supplier relationships.
- Provide world class customer experiences that create advocates for our business
- Identify priority claims, complex claims and claims from vulnerable customers
- Develop and maintain claims handling, system and policy wording knowledge, including any risk and compliance issues
- Supporting as required in large major events
**Your Attributes**:
- Empathy - Ability to relate to and adapt your approach to your customers in a caring and professional way
- Previous customer service experience: if you 've worked in hospitality, retail or call centre environments
- Effective communication skills: Active listening, verbal and written
- Confident computer skills; comfortable navigating multiple systems simultaneously
- Passionate about helping people and relationship building
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

This opportunity gives you flexibility to work from home and in the office with rosters that work with your life
We lock in rosters over a two-week period and one weekend is completely free Your 37.5 working hours per week are within 5 days across Monday to Saturday (anywhere between 8am to 6:30pm in the weekdays, 9am to 6pm on Saturday.
**What you need to do now**
You will need unlimited Broadband and be within one hour's drive from our locations in Auckland Albany & Sylvia Park, Hamilton, Tauranga, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin.
