Big growth in a short space of time means more business demands of our SaaS products. As we've scaled so has our appetite for change and maturating our software architecture. It's a big push, a deliberate shift to become more strategic and formalised in our approach to software architecture. Fancy being our **Architecture Practice Lead**? Come join our Engineering Management group based here in the bustling Auckland HQ where your purpose is to continue scaling fit-for-purpose architecture for ezyVet. To succeed, you'll champion the adoption and evolution of appropriate architectural designs and engineering practices across our engineering teams. Inspire and empower them to build stronger foundations for the very bright future ahead. Operating with high autonomy, you are accountable for ezyVet's Architecture discipline that delivers agreed outcomes to a roadmap aligned with our technical and business strategies. Basically, we're a fast growing start-up transitioning into enterprise scale. ezyVet is hugely successful but the now legacy architecture needs modernising to operate at enterprise scale with safety and responsiveness that customers will expect. Our architecture, design and engineering practices need modernising, scaling and predictability built-in. Gnarly challenge indeed

**What you bring**:

- Seasoned software engineering expertsie, familiar with PHP, Go-Lang, Typescript, Python, MySQL etc. Importantly, you are hands on with regards to architecture design
- Proven expertise with SaaS software architecture at scale and AWS experience/qualifications will help
- Inspirational leadership for highly technical professional people - circa 5 direct reports
- Genuine collaboration, capable of strategising an approach to a problem that inspires/influences others to deliver
- Highly effective communicator especially between technical and non-technical people
- Familiarity with multiple web and cloud technologies and an unbiased scientific approach to technology selection
