**About the role**

As a Senior Transport Planner, you will be delivering integrated, effective and multi modal transport plans for Tauranga.

This is a permanent full-time role, working 40 hours per week between 6:00am and 6:00pm at 306 Cameron Road.You will work in the Bay of Plenty region only.

The minimum remuneration or this role is $91,421.00, and the maximum remuneration for this role is $123,687.00.

The role will ensure that the transport strategy, policy and planning is current and is aligned with other council direction and strategies. You will develop and deliver best practice integrated, effective and multi-modal transport strategies, policies and plans for Tauranga. You will Make a significant contribution to managing the Citys transport strategy and direction and alignment with other key documents (e.g. Land Transport Management Act and the SmartGrowth Strategy) to ensure the actions in the transport strategy are implemented.

The role will also ensure that the performance of the transport network is not unduly impacted by developments. You will lead the development of potential solutions for testing to address transport problems such as safety improvements, junction improvements, cycle ways, pedestrian priority schemes, bus interchange, car parking areas or bus priority facilities etc.

You will ensure that our multi-modal transportation planning is effective and well communicated. You will act as an effective advocate for multi-modal transportation planning. Communicate effectively, accurately and in a timely manner with Asset Managers, consultants, planners contractors and other key internal and external stakeholders.

**What youll need to succeed**

To succeed in this role, youll bring:

- A qualification in Transport Planning or Civil Transportation Engineering or relevant equivalent AND
- 5 years or more experience in transportation planning.
