SAP Development- Architect

**Role: SAP Development Architect**

**Location: Auckland, New Zealand**

**Key Function**:

- Supporting the sale of strategically important deals
- Ensuring the successful delivery of projects
- Developing other solution team members
- Expanding HCL into new industries, propositions, services, and technologies
- Facilitating personnel growth to become a Solution Director
- Leading technical activities and consulting within the region
- Engaging customers on a strategic level, providing thought leadership, and offering oversight

**Key Objectives**:

- Deliver sales revenue targets through team-based selling
- Support the qualification of initial leads and determine appropriate bid teams
- Own the bid lifecycle for smaller bids and contribute to larger bids
- Lead/support complex customer bid opportunities and ITT responses, aiming for HCL to be the preferred partner
- Act as a quality assurance checkpoint for proposal documents and presentations created by less experienced team members
- Be part of the initial project delivery team to architect the solution design and de-risk the project
- Build strong industry and partner relationships
- Develop your own skill set to maintain 'thought leadership' status in the eyes of customers and peers
- Mentor Solutions Managers/Managing Consultants to become Solution Architects

- Work with account and commercial teams to conceptualize and communicate winning propositions.
- Mobilize and motivate bid teams and project teams
- Lead/support the preparation and delivery of sales proposals and presentations
- Add value to and often own the strategy and tactics to win bids, developing/enhancing HCL’s differentiators during a sales process
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, identifying and developing opportunities within existing accounts
- Oversee a portfolio of bids, successfully multitasking without overcommitting
- Organize and coordinate diverse groups in complex situations
- Possess broad content experience across multiple lines of business
- Display broad technical appreciation, including all key SAP functionality and technology, with the ability to rapidly assess new technology solutions
- Lead functional/technical architecture in complex SAP and non-SAP environments
- Support the Program Director in developing phasing strategy, plans, benefits case, org structures, risks, and issues
- Manage design workshops on multiple areas of expertise
- Command the respect and confidence of other Solution Architects, Solution Directors, and the Commercial Team
- Contribute to the development of HCL’s methods and tools and contribute to the Solution Team strategy

**Skills/Knowledge/Experience**:

- Extensive experience in relevant technology or business area
- Strong sales experience in technology solutions
- Familiarity with consulting practices and methodologies
- Leadership track record
- Expertise in ABAP development, UX/UI, SAP integration technologies, and one other integration technology (e.g., MuleSoft, Webmethods, DelBoomi)
