**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The primary purpose of the role is to perform a range of contract management functions. This includes the execution of the contract management strategy for the relevant categories.

In this role you will be responsible for developing, executing and maintaining multiple strategies and programmes such as the contract management strategy for the relevant categories; contract management, including prioritisation of contract management initiatives, ongoing benefit realisation and performance management; and an appropriate programme for Supplier Relationship Management for the category/portfolio of suppliers.

You will lead the contract negotiation and development process, working with the category team to setup Panel Agreements and Master Agreements with key suppliers, maintain category contracts management, including contract reporting and manage renewal of expiring and expired contracts and manage the contract DFA approval and sign-off process.

This role will see you working with a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders, including legal, finance, suppliers, and logistic providers, clinical engineering and product management teams to optimize commercial outcomes and mitigate risks to procurement initiatives.

- Experience in contract management including end to end contract lifecycle and end to end procurement practice, with a category management approach.
- Proven experience leading contract management activity and negotiation ensuring the outcomes and efficiencies forecasted are delivered
- Experience in the development of commercial documents that demonstrate commercial acumen and sound knowledge of commercial contracts
- Proven stakeholder and supplier relationship management and communication skills, including excellent networking capabilities, influencing and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience completing qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and a strong focus on detail.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
