Supervisor

Ventia has a great opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Roads team based in Dargaville or Whangarei

**THE TEAM**

Ventia currently has a Roading Maintenance Contract with the Kaipara District Council managing up to 1500KM of sealed and unsealed roads. Along with this, the business also completes a wide variety of infrastructure projects in Kaipara and the wider area.

You will be part of a close-knit, hardworking, and collaborative team with a “Safety First” culture. You will need to be a team player with a positive personality.

**THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will be supervising after all maintenance activities on the network. Some key responsibilities include
- Design of Network Maintenance
- Supervision of Network Maintenance Team
- Quality Control
- Supervision of Fleet and Site Maintenance
- Upload all service requests, work request in RAMM contractor
- Submitting, monitoring, and justifying all maintenance related costs and purchases for identified tasks.
- Manage and action Request For Service (RFS) received through the contract

**ABOUT YOU**

You will either be an experienced Maintenance Supervisor or Project Manager looking for a new challenge, or an experienced Maintenance Grader Operator or Foreman wanting to move to the next step of your career.

**Other Requirements**
- Experience in Roading Maintenance or Transport Infrastructure Management
- RAMM experience is an advantage
- Experience in building, leading and managing effective work teams
- Ability to interpret, evaluate and analyse roading plans, diagrams and sketches
- Familiarity and adherence to all relevant industry and government codes of practice
- Knowledge of Traffic Management policies and practices
- A strong Health and Safety focus
- Excellent communication skills - customers, ratepayers, client etc
- Excellent people management skills
- Valid Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2-5 plus WTR preferred)
