We are looking for an Environmental Planner to join our Consents section at the Taranaki Regional Council. This position is permanent full time.

Our main office is based right in the centre of the region, under the Maunga (mountain), in Whakaahurangi (Stratford).

We have 3 beautiful gardens; Pukeiti, Tūpare and Hollard Gardens. Many of our staff work on a daily basis around the region and we are a 35 minute commute from New Plymouth. This region allows you to have all the big city benefits whilst maintaining a rural lifestyle given the relatively quick ability to travel between our towns and the city.

This role reports to the Team Leader - Resource Consents.

**Mōu | About you**
- Practical knowledge of the Resource Management Act 1991
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a bustling work environment
- Analytical problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team
