**Te** **kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

As Fleet Manager, you will provide exceptional support to the end user of Downer NZ.

The role has a strong focus on customer and supplier relationships, ensuring our fleet is available, maintained, compliant and fit for purpose.

Key focus areas include:

- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all end users of Downer.
- Manage the supply network to create efficiency and ensure that required outcomes are delivered by third parties.
- Data integrity.
- Promote asset safety, quality, environmental, sustainability, and productivity best practice.
- Lead by example, driving Zero Harm through operational excellence.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**

You will ideally have:

- Very strong negotiation skills.
- Good communication skills and an ability to forge strong, positive relationships.
- Organized and systematic approach to working environment. Being able to multitask and prioritise.
- A positive / proactive work ethic.
- Team player - ability to work within a team and in a defined role.
- Computer literacy - Accounting systems, Excel and SharePoint.
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills. Resourceful
- Presentation skills.

The following Qualifications and / or Work Experience will be beneficial for this role:

- Relevant drivers’ licences.
- 3 - 5+ years of fleet management experience or maintenance management background.
- Proven track record in developing successful relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Clear understanding of positive and collaborative relationship behaviours across all levels of the business.
