**About the Role**
As an RMO Medical Workforce Coordinator, you will join the RMO Support Service team based at Waikato Hospital. Working with the clinical services, you will create rosters for RMOs. Our team is responsible for ensuring the optimum deployment of RMO staff in the Waikato District rostering them when & where required as well as ensuring leave & training are appropriately managed.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Day to day you will be writing and managing RMO rosters including planned and unplanned leave management.
- You will work closely with the RMOSS recruitment team as well as the clinical services to write and manage your rosters.
- Create a roster every 13 weeks for each roster portfolio, taking into account service needs, staff requests, employment conditions and good rostering practice.
- Support and coordinate the RMO workforce, including contributing to workforce planning to ensure services are appropriately resourced
- Develops and maintains rosters to comply with the collective agreements and to meet the needs of the service and the RMOs
- Actively manage and report on RMO leave
- Work as part of a team to cover other medical workforce co-ordinator duties and leave when required
- Engage in continuous improvement, of own practice and the team's to increase our effectiveness and the quality of our rosters and rostering tools and processes.
The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the Health NZ Te Whatu Ora and PSA National Health Administration Workers Collective Agreement.
**About the Team**
- Our team is made up of two halves providing recruitment and rostering support for approximately 600 Registrars and Houses Officers across the Waikato District
- As our team name suggests, our role is to support the doctors and the organisation as a whole. This is a busy team who thrive on making a difference to all those we serve.
- The team is part of the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC).
- Our priority is to find people who have the right skills and attitude that will make them a great fit for our team.

**About you**
- Well-developed problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills, and with proven record of attention to detail and accuracy
- A mature and professional manner at all times and in all aspects of work and conduct (e.g. discrete, tactful, understand the importance of confidentiality and privacy)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and with others at all levels of the organisation
- Be able to manage your time, priorities and responsibilities in a reactive work environment
- Be self-directed and able to meet critical deadlines
- Be able to foster effective and enduring relationships with RMOs and Managers across the organisation.
- Have great initiative, be solution focussed and able to identify, develop and implement process and system improvements
- Be a supportive team player working collaboratively to deliver successful team outcomes
- Self-motivated and takes pride in providing a service and has a 'can do' attitude to dealing with problems as they arise.
- Ideally, but not essential, has previous experience in workforce planning/rostering for a complex environment such as health and understands employment conditions as relating to healthy rostering practices.
- Ideally, but not essential, a current New Zealand Driver's license.
