This is your opportunity to join our Papanui Columbus Cafe and be part of the team that strive to make Papanui Mega and Columbus cafe a number one destination for all customers.
This role is for a 2IC within Columbus Cafe permanent full time approximately 30 hours per week.
Reporting to the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing sales and building team culture within this Cafe through delivering excellent team leadership, stock control and customer service. We are looking for a driven and energetic 2IC with a proven track record, to take charge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. In this role you will be able to utilise and develop your leadership skills, while working within an enthusiastic and passionate team.
This will see you taking accountability for:
- Ensuring customers are the number one priority, receiving the high standard of service they deserve;
- Developing and leading your team
- Promoting a team culture that encourages a positive working environment.
- Taking on responsibility for Front of house point-of-sale and general standards within the Cafe.
- Contributing to the overall success of the Cafe, actively supporting initiatives and process; and
- Other duties as required.
The ideal person for this position would need the following attributes:
- Minimum 2 years Barista
- Cafe supervisory experience;
- Ability to work as part of a team, and provide direction and leadership;
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to think ahead and offer innovative solutions;
- A passion for customer service excellence
- General computer skills
- Ability to manage a varied and busy work load
- Reasonable degree of physical fitness and ability
- Good time management
- A positive professional attitude
- Exercise honesty and fairness in all areas
- Have an understanding of the importance of “One Team”
- The ability to strive for excellence
This role is a Sunday to Thursday position, working approx. 30 hours per week.
