**About the role.**
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control Lead to join our team in Hastings. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all Quality Control Technicians carry out testing and inspections accurately, safely, and in line with specifications, procedures, and work instructions.

You’ll take the lead in verifying results, mentoring and training the QC team, and supporting production by identifying and resolving quality issues quickly. Working closely with the Production Lead, you’ll help ensure that all products meet our high standards and remain within specification through effective monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

**What you’ll be doing**.**
- Lead, train, and mentor the Quality Control Technician team.
- Perform and record independent on-line quality checks and verification tests.
- Ensure all testing, inspections, and documentation meet company standards.
- Proactively identify and address out-of-specification or at-risk product.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Monitor production lines to maintain and improve product quality and efficiency.
- Review and update QC procedures and training records.
- Enforce safety procedures and promote Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

**What We’re Looking For**
- Previous Quality Control or manufacturing experience (food industry experience an advantage).
- Previous team leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and GMP principles.
- Basic knowledge of HACCP and awareness of critical control points.
- Chemical handling knowledge and safety awareness.
- Good computer literacy and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- A collaborative, team-focused approach.
