Forestry Workers

K Ngamanu Silviculture Contractors Ltdbased in Opotiki/Whakatane. We are on the lookout for keen, reliable, on-time workers to cover our expanding business.

**Experience required**
- At least 1 year work experience in forestry or a
- Certificate Level 2 or 3.

**The job**:

- Thinning - with chainsaw felling trees.
- Pruning - pruning with a chainsaw at heights up to 8.5 meters
- Planting - native or radiata pines in steep terrain. Required to carry up to 20kgs of gear and seedlings on your back.
- Weed control - working with a machete to clear weeds or using a chemical spray.
- All the above duties may be carried out on steep terrain in physically demanding country.

**The role is full-time and ongoing and you will be expected to work for 30 hours minimum per week and up to 40 hours if required.**

**Job Requirements**
- Physically fit.
- Able to carry up to 20kgs on your back walking up steep terrain. sober and drug-free.

- ability to work away from home.
- ability to work in all terrain Transport will be provided to and from work
- Ongoing training will be provided
- Fortnightly pay

The job pays a minimum of $29.66 per hour or piece rates whichever is the higher amount.
