Foh / Barista / Content Creator

This is a great opportunity to be a part of a highly respected bakery, where quality, teamwork and commitment is paramount. As FOH / Barista / Content Creator you will be a superstar all-rounder. Primarily you will serve customers and prepare coffees, but you will also liaise with Stefan and the bake team throughout the day as / when required, and contribute to creating content and other marketing assets for the business.

**Location**:

- Primary workplace: Riverbank Lane, Hamilton CBD
- A second site in Hamilton is planned to open later this year. Staff may be offered opportunities to work across both locations once operational.

**Hours & Days of Work**:

- Minimum 30 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday.
- Additional hours may be available during peak trading periods.

**Pay Range**:

- $26.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
- Guaranteed hourly rate; additional benefits include staff discounts.
- You may be requested to work public holidays and will be paid accordingly for your time.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Deliver outstanding customer service, warmly welcoming every customer and enhancing the customer experience.
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee to consistently high standards, with attention to detail and presentation.
- Set up and close down the retail and coffee service areas each day.
- Liaise closely with the baking team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety.
- Assist in creating marketing assets and publish digital content for social media, including photography, design, and digital illustration.
- Monitor and manage stock levels for FOH supplies, including coffee beans, milk, and packaging.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance and report any repairs needed.
- Support the baking team with BOH tasks if / when required ( training provided).
- Contribute to customer engagement initiatives, including in-store promotions and events.

**Skills, Experience & Qualification Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years' barista experience in a high-quality, fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Proven ability to create specialty coffees, with experience in latte art preferred.
- Strong customer service focus, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated skills in content creation, including photography, videography and digital design.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
- Organised, action-oriented, and capable of managing FOH operations proactively.
- Good English communication skills (spoken and written) to interact with customers, colleagues, and follow food safety procedures.
- Legal ability to work in New Zealand (NZ citizen, resident, or visa holder).

**Travel Requirements**:

- Some mínimal travel may be required between our Hamilton CBD site and the upcoming secondary site once operational.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
