**Tiler Assistant**

We are currently seeking 2 Tiler Assistants who may enjoy practical tasks and visualize space to create tiling patterns to join our upbeat and dedicated team. You will provide comprehensive wall and floor tiling services in residential and commercial settings as well as in industrial environments in accordance with relevant safety regulations and departmental procedures. We work for new built-up projects and private and commercial renovations.

**What youll be doing**:

- Transporting and unloading tiling materials, tools, and equipment
- Assessing the surface conditions and assisting in examining plans
- Measuring and marking surfaces in preparation for work layout
- Preparing work areas on floors and walls by removing old tiles, adhesive, and grout
- Filling gaps, crack,s and holes and ensuring all surfaces are clean
- Cutting tiles to a certain size or shape with hand-cutters or bench-mounted tools
- Making tiles lie flush with corners, edges, pipes, and fittings using tile-cutting tools
- Grouting tiles and cleaning the surface of excess grout once complete
- Assisting in waterproofing tiling work
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Being patient and precise
- Being thorough, with good attention to detail
- Have thinking and reasoning skills
- Able to work well under pressure
- A level 4 trades qualification would be a preferable advantage
- No criminal records.

It is permanent employment based on an assured 35 working hours a week. Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including late nights, weekends, and holidays period if required. The work will be carried out across Auckland.
