**Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)**

This hospital-based position has an acute in-patient focus, where bio-psychosocial assessments are required and interventions offered to support patients who face complex challenges. You will provide social work support as part of a multi-disciplinary team of allied and other health professionals.

The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $63,702 to $83,030 (steps 2 to 7) of the current Allied & Public Health, Scientific & Technical MECA.

You will be registered with the NZ Social Workers Registration Board and will work with a collaborative approach delivering client-centred practice from a strengths perspective. You will ideally have experience working in a health setting, as part of an inter-disciplinary team, and will bring an understanding of the social determinants of health, and the impact on health and social needs.

You will have professional knowledge/experience of physical health and disability and the supports available in the community. You will be well versed in the areas of family violence, vulnerable adults, and care and protection policies and expectations. You will also bring a sound understanding of bi-cultural social work practice.
