**About the role**

We are seeking a Kaiako to deliver the Certificate in Rongoā Māori Level 4 programme, which involves but is not limited to: developing lesson plans, presenting material to tauira (students), responding to tauira learning needs, and evaluating tauira progress. Some flexibility may be required to work some weekends and evenings.

**About you**

Ideally, applicants will have:

- Diploma in Rongoā Māori or Hauora Māori or equivalent
- Adult Teaching qualification (NZCATT) Level 5 or equivalent or be willing to complete during the first year of employment.
- Full and current NZ Drivers Licence
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience and a minimum of 3 years’ experience using traditional Māori healing methods, or other relevant work-related to Rongoā Māori
- Adult teaching experience. Whilst teaching experience is highly valued at TWoA, newly qualified Kaiako with relevant qualifications but with no or limited previous teaching experience will also be considered.
- Have proficient knowledge related to Te Ao Māori and is a leader regarding Āhuatanga Māori
- Proficient in te reo Māori (understanding, speaking and writing)

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
