Taxi Driver

We are currently looking for committed and reliable Taxi Drivers to join us in Otago region. Reliability and right attitude are key to succeeding in this role. To be successful as a taxi driver, you should be punctual, reliable, and excellent at time management in order to ensure that each journey for our passengers remains safe and pleasant.

**Number of positions for this job: 02**
**Employment type: Permanent Full-Time**
**Minimum guaranteed hours of work Per week: 30**
**Days Required: Monday to Sunday (flexible hours)**
**Hourly rate: Between $29.66- $30.00 per hour**
- Drives a taxi to transport passengers to their destinations
- Picking up passengers at designated locations or when hailed
- Assisting passengers with the loading and unloading of their baggage and other personal belongings, as needed.
- Be able to use systems to log into waiting passenger information
- Checking passenger destinations and determining most appropriate route
- Starting and stopping the taximeter at the correct times.
- Collecting fares and processing fare payments
- Ensuring that passengers remain safe throughout the journey.
- Ensuring that the vehicle remains clean and in excellent working condition.
- Pre-checks of vehicle before each trip to ensure the vehicle in line with road safety and vehicle safety standards
- Report defects or violations - immediately report the instance to the Manager.
- Be able to follow health and Safety operation during driving & Complying with all traffic laws at all times
- Valid driver's license
- P endorsement
- Familiarity with GPS software
- Well-groomed, professional appearance
- Flexible Work Availability as you will be required to work night shifts, as well as during weekends and public holidays as needed.
- Being physically fit
- Have a positive and calm attitude with a strong customer-focused work ethic
- Time management skills
- Strong Health & Safety focus & adherence to all H&S procedures
- Willingness to follow standard operating procedures
- Committed and reliable
- Pass the drug test
- No criminal records
