**Te Whiwhinga mahi** | The opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Transportation Engineer to join our Network Operations Planning team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering transport engineering solutions that support Auckland's growth and improve safety and efficiency across the network.

This is a strategic and hands-on role, based on-site, where you'll identify and act on opportunities to improve transport system performance and contribute to key infrastructure projects. Please note this is not a hybrid or remote working opportunity.

**Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?**

As a seasoned professional, you will bring significant experience within transport engineering and infrastructure planning, along with:

- Experience in multimodal transport planning and design, especially for active modes such as walking and cycling
- Familiarity with crash analysis systems (CAS) and traffic simulation tools
- Ability to manage budgets and deliver projects on time and within scope
- Understanding of local government processes and statutory requirements
- Commitment to Vision Zero and safe system principles
- Ability to respond to public enquiries and represent AT in community and stakeholder engagements
- Strong organisational and forward-planning skills
- Personal resilience and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
