In this role, you will provide administrative and secretarial support to District Court Judges. You will be responsible for facilitating effective liaison and communication within the PA judicial support team, handling confidential and sensitive matters, and optimizing the Judges' capacity to effectively fulfil their judicial duties.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide comprehensive administrative support to District Court Judges, including managing their calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings/events.
- Act as the main point of contact for incoming correspondence.
- Handle matters of a highly confidential and sensitive nature with the utmost discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate support services for visiting Judiciary.
- Assist with ad-hoc support tasks such as stationery orders, word processing/photocopying/scanning.
- Attention to detail when typing/proofreading Reserve Judgements or other documents.
- Act as a liaison between Judges, legal professionals, court staff and other relevant stakeholders.

He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience
- A relevant secretarial qualification and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum word processing speed of seventy words per minute.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and planning skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience providing executive assistance or secretarial support in a complex and busy environment.
- Experience in a legal or court environment is an advantage.

Judges Personal Assistants report to the Ministry of Justice while taking day to day direction from the Judiciary. Each PA supports approximately 4-5 District Court Judges. As the primary point of contact for Judges and Chambers, you will serve as the frontline representative, ensuring that all interactions reflect our commitment to professionalism and assisting all parties involved.

Utu ā-tau/Salary

**Salary Range**: The remuneration band for this role is $56,729 to $78,441, the appointing salary will likely be between $59,210 to $64,173.
