Right now, is a great time to join Electra, as we celebrate our 100th year servicing and taking care of those within the Horowhenua and Kapiti regions of New Zealand.
We’re seeking a Qualified Utility Arborist, who is responsible for managing all types of vegetation that could impact the electricity distribution, across the region.
This is a full-time position Monday to Friday, based in Paraparaumu. As a qualified utility arborist, you’ll already love the outdoors, physically challenging work, and seeing an end result that you can be proud of.
This is an important role ensuring that vegetation is controlled and maintained with strict Health and Safety requirements in accordance with the Electricity Hazards from Trees Regulations 2003 Act.
As our next Utility Arborist, you’ll already have:
- Full NZ Driver’s License Class 1 & 2
- National Certificate in Horticulture (Level 4 Advanced)
- National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Utility Arborist) Level 2
- Relevant industry experience/use of machinery
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Experience of Health and Safety practices that are best practice
