**About The Freight Hub**

The Freight Hub team is responsible for running our automated facility near the Christchurch Airport. We sort courier product for the local Christchurch branch as well as inter-island freight via our Air and Road networks. Our network is the strength behind New Zealand Couriers and the work of our team is all about ensuring that freight is moved safely, accurately and on time so that couriers can deliver effectively. Our team is very diverse with people from different walks of life, working together to get the job done.

**The Role**

**Hours: Sunday 12:00pm to 8:30pm**

As a Video Encoder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate assignment of freight within the depot. Using specialised software, you will sort and assign destinations for items, resolve issues, and support the freight handling process. You will also work with the team to ensure all freight is manually sorted by the end of the shift. This role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

**Key Duties Include**:

- Assign destinations for freight using sorting software
- Identify and report labelling errors or anomalies
- Assist with freight handling, stacking, and loading
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols
